What to see and do in Dubai? – Attractions 2022

Dubai is a destination designed and developed for tourism. It offers visitors many entertainment alternatives and different budgets. Here is Mundukos ' account of what to see and do in Dubai in 2022.

  1. Burj Khalifa

At 828 meters tall, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and certainly tops the list of what you can't miss in Dubai. It attracts millions of visitors annually, so if you don't want to miss this attraction, I recommend booking your ticket in advance. Typically buying one or two days before your visit is enough.

  1. Burj Al Arab

The famous seven-star hotel (although officially only has five) is one of the city's emblems. To visit it inside, you must be a guest or have a reservation at one of its restaurants, but be careful that each one has a minimum consumption that prevents the hotel from being filled with onlookers.

Travel tip: Get the best photo

If you do not plan to enter the hotel, we recommend that you avoid going to its entrance, since the only way is by taxi, with the public buses (which, although they work well, are slow) or on foot. Upon arrival, you will find a gate and some guards who will prevent you from getting any closer. So if you are looking for a good photo, it is better from the public beach or Madinat Jumeirah. 3. The Dubai Mall

We do not necessarily recommend shopping, since unless you are looking for luxury products, this Mall offers the same stores as the others, but always with more people and even higher prices for the same products. However, visiting this place for decoration is quite an experience—more information.

  1. Dubai Fountains

The largest choreographed fountains in the world are also some of the most incredible. Its light and sound shows are an excellent option for entertainment and, in addition, they are free. There are both day and night ones. However, my favorites were the night ones. Know more about green city restaurant satwa.

If you want a different experience, for AED20 (USD6), you can walk on a 272-meter platform in the middle of the lake. If you prefer to take a boat, the cost is 68 AED (18.5 USD).

  1. Dubai Museum of the Future

On the 22nd of 2nd 2022, the Dubai Museum of the Future opened. A place that not only draws the attention of travelers for its content but also for the emblematic building in which it is housed and that some consider "the most beautiful building in the world." The museum has exhibits about technology and how it may evolve in the coming decades.

6. Ain Dubai

If you are looking for a different perspective of Dubai, you cannot miss Ain Dubai, the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. They are 250 meters high and have a journey of approximately 45 minutes. During this time, you can have spectacular views of the artificial island of the Dubai Palm Tree and the Marina area. There are different types of cabins, but all have 360-degree views.

  1. Dubai Aquarium

The most extensive acrylic panel in the world also had to be in Dubai. The famous tank containing 10 million liters of water can be seen without paying for admission to the aquarium, but if you want to enjoy it fully, you have to pay. The ticket includes a complete visit to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, where you can see more than 140 species, including more than 300 sharks. Check out panoor restaurant near me.

8. Dubai Frame

It is one of the most recent works in Dubai. It is a viewpoint in the form of a photographic frame that allows you to see the old part of the city on one side and the new one on the other. The cost is 53 AED, something like 15 USD, and you can buy it here.

  1. Souks

The traditional part of Dubai is also present through its souks or traditional markets. The Old Souk, Spice Souk, and Gold Souk are the most famous.

The gold souk is famous for holding the Guinness World Record for having the most gold per square meter and the most significant gold ring in the world. Even if you don't plan to buy anything, I assure you the visit will not disappoint.

10. Dubai Creek

Whether day or night, Dubai's natural lake is worth a visit. It is right in the center of old Dubai, close to the gold and spice souks. The night tours that include dinner are the most popular, and you can hire them here.

If you don't want to spend, for just 1 AED (6 Mexican pesos or 30 US cents), take a community water taxi for a ride during the day.

11. Dubai Miracle Garden

This is one of my favorite places in Dubai. It is the most extensive natural flower garden in the world, and the most incredible thing: it is in a desert climate. Therefore it only works from October to April. More information here.

12. Ski Dubai

If you want to experience being in the snow in the desert in Dubai, you will have the opportunity at Ski Dubai. The attraction is located inside the Mall of the Emirates (not in the Dubai Mall, although many confuse it). There are different tickets for the visit that start at 190 AED (50 USD). The price goes up depending on the attractions you want to go to.

Outside of Ski Dubai, the Mall of the Emirates shopping center does not have anything extraordinary, so I only recommend it if you want to know about this attraction or if it is close to your accommodation.

  1. Global Village

If you want to meet the whole world in one place, the Global Village in Dubai is the place. It is a theme park where you can find replicas of the most emblematic monuments and buildings worldwide and buy local products. It is not an amusement park with rides (although there are some, and it is planned to add more in the future). Most of the park is dedicated to pavilions from different parts of the world in the style of Epcot Center in Disney World. More information here.

There are fireworks shows on Thursdays and Fridays at 9 pm, and a parade is every Thursday at 7:30 pm. The park is open only for the high season from October to April every day from 4 pm (although only women and families can enter on Mondays). The entrance fee is 15 AED (less than 5 USD). More information about Global Village is here.

  1. Aura Skypool: World's tallest infinity pool

The tallest infinity pool in the world was inaugurated in Dubai in 2021. It is located on the artificial island of the Dubai Palm Tree at 200 meters high.

15.SkyviewDubai

If you are looking for a new experience in the center of Dubai, you can not miss Skyview Dubai: the contemporary viewpoint of the city. The particularity of this one is not only its direct views of the Burj Khalifa but also the activities it offers: walks to the edge of the building at more than 50 stories high, a glass walkway, and a glass slide on the 53rd floor.

  1. Madinat Jumeirah

The hotel and entertainment complex Madinat Jumeirah is an excellent option for a tour, either on foot or by boat. It is a resort that includes different hotels, clubs, restaurants, and shops. It has an excellent view of the Burj Al Arab, making it one of my favorite places to take a photo of the famous hotel. You can find the complete guide to shopping malls in Dubai here.

  1. Dubai Desert

A visit to the Middle East could not be complete without visiting the desert, and Dubai has one. There are guided dunes tours with dinner from 60 USD (1,200 MXN), and you can hire them here.

  1. Aquaventure Water Park

It is one of the amusement parks best valued by travelers in Dubai. Ideal for families but also all ages, due to its variety of attractions. Slides, the longest zip line in the Middle East, and even a private beach is part of what you can enjoy at the Aquaventure Waterpark.

  1. Al Seef

One of Dubai's newest areas is the Emirate's oldest part. They combine the most traditional settings with restaurants and fashion shops. It is an ideal place to take excellent photos and a good walk.

  1. Palm Jumeirah Monorail

This is not a new attraction since it has been operating since 2009. However, the difference is in everything new you can find on the artificial island of the Dubai Palm Tree, enjoyed on the monorail tour.

21. Dubai Marina

In this case, I am not talking about a particular attraction but an entire area of the city: Dubai Marina. It is considered the "new" Dubai and is a one-a-half kilometer area home to hotels, shopping malls, offices, and entertainment venues. You can take a walk or take a boat to see the skyline.

  1. The Palm in Dubai

The artificial palm-shaped island can only be enjoyed in its splendor from above, but it is still worth a visit by land or sea. The Palm hotel is undoubtedly the island's emblem, which you can visit without being a guest if you have a reservation at one of its restaurants.

  1. City Walk by Meraas

More than a single site, it is a shopping and entertainment area a few steps from the Burj Khalifa. It is one of the city's newest areas and, without a doubt, a must-see when you are in the Downtown area.
